Direct Attach Copper (DAC) kábel Zyxel DAC25G-1M-ZZ0101F 25G, 1 m

Zyxel DAC25G-1M-ZZ0101F is a 1-meter Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cable engineered for short-range 25G Ethernet connections. The cable integrates copper twinax wiring with fixed connectors to deliver a low-latency, high-bandwidth physical link between compatible network devices without the need for separate optical transceivers. It is intended for rack-level interconnects in data centre environments and for direct switch-to-server or switch-to-switch links where a reliable 25G copper solution is required.

Advantages

The DAC25G-1M-ZZ0101F provides a stable 25 gigabit-per-second link with reduced power consumption compared to optical transceivers, as no external modules are required. Its fixed one-meter length simplifies cable management in dense rack layouts and reduces signal loss over short distances. The direct-attach design minimizes interface count and latency, offering a cost-efficient way to implement short-range 25G connectivity while maintaining compatibility with equipment that supports 25G DAC interfaces.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack connections in data centres and server rooms
• Direct switch-to-server links within the same rack or adjacent racks
• Short-range aggregation or spine-leaf copper interconnects
• High-density networking environments requiring low-latency 25G links

Key specifications

• Nominal data rate: 25 Gbit/s
• Cable type: Direct Attach Copper (twinax)
• Connector: fixed copper SFP28-style direct-attach connectors
• Length: 1 meter
• Intended use: short-range, rack-level interconnects
• Latency: minimal, hardware-level electrical link

How to use

Install the DAC cable by inserting each end into compatible 25G SFP28-style ports on network devices until the connector latches. Ensure both devices support direct-attach copper links at 25G and that the ports are enabled in device firmware or operating system. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the specified one-meter distance; secure it within the rack to prevent strain on connectors. After physical installation, verify link status and speed through the devices' management interfaces or command-line tools.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m 25G DAC for short, controlled paths inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid using the cable for runs beyond its intended short-range limits, and prevent repeated mechanical stress on the connector ends. Confirm compatibility with the network equipment vendor's supported cable list when interoperability is critical.
