BlueOptics Q28-AOC-15M-SW-BO InfiniBand sklenené vlákno kábel 15m QSFP28 konektor/konektor

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-15M-SW-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m QSFP28 Male/Male is a 15-metre active optical cable engineered for high-bandwidth, low-latency data transmission. It uses QSFP28 connectors on both ends to support InfiniBand and compatible QSFP28 ports commonly found in data centers and high-performance computing clusters. The cable provides a flexible, single-cable solution for short to mid-range interconnects where electrical cables may be impractical due to signal integrity or power consumption constraints.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers high data rates with reduced electromagnetic interference and lower power dissipation compared with equivalent copper alternatives. The QSFP28 Male/Male termination ensures broad compatibility with devices that accept QSFP28 modules, simplifying cabling in dense rack environments. Its 15 m length offers extended reach for cross-rack and intra-row connections while maintaining signal integrity suitable for demanding InfiniBand workloads.

Suitable for

• High-performance computing clusters and server interconnects
• Data centre switch-to-switch and switch-to-server connections
• Low-latency storage area networks (SANs) and database backends
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP28 male to QSFP28 male
• Length: 15 metres
• Protocol support: InfiniBand and QSFP28-compatible high-speed links
• Typical use: Short- to mid-reach interconnects within racks and across adjacent racks
• Electrical characteristics: Optical signal transmission with low EMI and reduced power loss compared to copper

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP28 Male/Male AOC by aligning each QSFP28 connector with the corresponding port on your switch, host adapter, or network device and inserting until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap guidelines of your hardware vendor when connecting or disconnecting. Verify link status and speed in the device management interface after installation. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the recommended bend radius to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this 15 m QSFP28 AOC in rack and row topologies where optical reach and low latency are required. Avoid tight bend radii, exposure to liquids, and excessive mechanical load. Confirm firmware and driver compatibility for InfiniBand and QSFP28 ports on both ends before deployment to ensure full data-rate operation.
