Why choose it

This cable bridges the gap between FireWire 800 and FireWire 400, allowing you to use high-speed peripherals with older hosts. The 3-meter length gives you flexibility in setting up your workspace, and the robust shielding minimizes interference for stable data transfers. The black PVC jacket is durable and flexible, suitable for both studio and field use.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a FireWire 800 external hard drive to a FireWire 400 port on a computer
• Linking a FireWire 800 digital camcorder to a FireWire 400 capture card
• Extending the reach between a FireWire audio interface and a mixing console
• Using legacy FireWire 400 peripherals with newer FireWire 800 equipped laptops

Good to know

The cable is fully compliant with IEEE 1394b and IEEE 1394a standards, ensuring broad compatibility. Copper conductors and a PVC jacket provide reliable performance and long-lasting durability. Note that when connecting a FireWire 800 device to a FireWire 400 port, the data transfer rate will be limited to 400 Mbps.
