Extralink CAT7 S/FTP indoor twisted pair inštalačný kábel 305 m EX.96570

The Extralink EX.96570 is a Category 7 fully shielded (S/FTP) indoor twisted-pair installation cable supplied on a 305 m (1000 ft) pull-box reel. Each of the four twisted pairs is individually wrapped in aluminium foil and the whole core is enclosed in an overall braided screen together with a drain (earthing) wire, the construction that defines the S/FTP design. Engineered for permanent in-building structured cabling, it supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) across the full Category 7 bandwidth of up to 600 MHz and meets Class F / FA performance.

Advantages

The combination of individually foiled pairs and an overall braided screen gives this cable excellent protection against alien crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, making it a stronger choice than unshielded or single-screen types for dense cable bundles, runs near power lines and electrically noisy environments. The solid bare-copper conductors keep DC resistance low and transmission stable over long links, while the flame-retardant Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket emits minimal smoke and no toxic halogen gases in a fire, suiting offices, public buildings and other occupied spaces. The cable stays fully backward compatible with Cat6A, Cat6 and Cat5e equipment, and the pull-box packaging feeds cable smoothly without tangling or kinking.

Suitable for

• Permanent structured cabling in offices, data rooms and commercial buildings
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet backbones and high-speed workstation links
• Installations exposed to EMI, dense bundling or nearby mains cabling
• Feeding shielded patch panels, network outlets and keystone modules
• IP camera, access point and PoE device runs requiring full screening

How to use

Pull the required length directly from the box, routing it along the planned cable path and avoiding sharp bends below the cable's minimum bend radius. Cut to length, strip the LSZH jacket, fold back the overall braided screen and bond the drain wire to ground at the patch panel, then untwist each pair minimally and terminate onto shielded Cat6A or Cat7 keystone jacks, patch panels or RJ45 plugs following the T568A/T568B colour scheme. Maintain shield continuity end to end and bond the screen to earth at the rack to realise the full S/FTP benefit. After installation, test each link with a certified cable tester to confirm correct wiring and performance.

Recommendations

For reliable 10 Gigabit operation keep individual runs within the 100 m channel limit, use shielded (STP) connectors and outlets throughout the link and ground the screen at one or both ends per your bonding scheme. Keep pair twists as close to the termination point as possible, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines, and certify every installed run to ISO/IEC 11801 before commissioning.
