Fiberhome mikro optický kábel 2,5 mm, 4 FO G.657A1, PE plášť, oranžový, 2 km bubon

Fiberhome Micro Fiber Cable 2.5 mm, 4 FO G.657A1 is a single-mode micro optical cable designed for compact fiber access and short-distance indoor/outdoor installations. The cable contains four optical fibers compliant with ITU-T G.657A1 bend-insensitive specification, housed in a 2.5 mm diameter structure with a polyethylene (PE) outer sheath and an orange jacket. Supplied on a 2 km drum, this fiber cable is intended for FTTH drop lines, building distribution, and other scenarios that require small-diameter, flexible cabling with reliable single-mode performance.

Advantages

The compact 2.5 mm diameter minimizes space requirements and simplifies routing in confined ducts and conduits while the G.657A1 fibers provide improved bend performance for reduced signal loss around tight bends. The PE sheath offers mechanical protection and weather resistance suitable for short outdoor exposures and indoor installations. An orange jacket makes the cable easy to identify in multi-cable environments. Supplied on a 2 km drum, the product supports longer continuous runs, reducing the need for splices and drum changes during deployment.

Suitable for

• FTTH drop lines and subscriber connections
• Short-distance indoor and outdoor fiber links
• Building backbone and riser distribution in limited-space pathways
• Fiber routing through ducts, conduits, and tray systems requiring bend resistance

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode, bend-insensitive (ITU-T G.657A1)
• Number of fibers: 4 optical fibers
• Cable diameter: 2.5 mm
• Outer sheath material: polyethylene (PE)
• Jacket color: orange
• Packaged length: 2 km on a drum

How to use

Plan the route, measure the required length, and unspool the cable from the drum, ensuring the cable is supported to avoid tension beyond manufacturer recommendations. For FTTH drop installations, route the micro cable through ducts or conduits to the termination point, then prepare and terminate individual fibers using appropriate fiber preparation tools, connectors, or splice enclosures. When transitioning between indoor and outdoor environments, use suitable grommets, glands or sealing methods at entry points to maintain mechanical protection and prevent moisture ingress.

Recommendations

Handle the micro cable with care to avoid excessive bending radii or pulling tension; follow standard fiber-optic installation practices and use recommended minimum bend radius for G.657A1 fibers. Store the drum on a suitable dispenser and avoid dragging the cable across sharp edges. For outdoor exposures beyond short runs, consider additional protective conduits or armoring to maintain long-term mechanical and environmental protection.
