fractal design FDE Ion 3 GOLD 1000W 80+ GOLD čierny napájací zdroj

The fractal design FDE Ion 3 GOLD 1000W 80+ GOLD Black power supply unit provides up to 1000 watts of continuous power with 80+ Gold efficiency for desktop systems. Engineered for high-performance PCs, this PSU combines stable voltage delivery, efficient energy conversion and a matte black finish that fits common case interiors. It is designed to support multi-GPU setups, high-core-count CPUs and advanced cooling solutions while maintaining regulated output across the main rails.

Advantages

This power supply offers high electrical efficiency that reduces heat and lowers energy costs under typical loads. Its 1000W capacity accommodates powerful components and transient loads from modern graphics cards and processors. The unit incorporates protections for over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current and short-circuit events to safeguard connected hardware. The discreet black exterior and compact form factor ease installation in a wide range of ATX-compatible cases.

Suitable for

• Gaming desktops with high-power graphics cards
• Workstations for video editing, 3D rendering and CAD
• System builders assembling multi-GPU or high-core-count CPU rigs
• Upgrades where efficient power delivery and thermal performance are required

Key specifications

• Maximum continuous output: 1000 W
• Efficiency rating: 80+ Gold
• Form factor: ATX-compatible PSU dimensions
• Cooling: internal fan with adaptive speed control for thermal management
• Rail topology: stable multi-rail or single-rail design suitable for high-current devices
• Protections: OVP, UVP, OCP, SCP and OTP (electrical protection features)

How to use

Install the power supply into an ATX-compatible case following the case and motherboard manual. Secure the unit with the provided mounting screws and connect the main 24-pin motherboard connector, CPU 4/8-pin power connector(s), and PCIe power cables to graphics cards as required. Route cables to maintain airflow and connect storage and peripheral power cables last. After connections are complete, verify that all plugs are seated correctly, set the mains switch if present, and power on the system to confirm stable boot and voltage readings in BIOS or a hardware monitoring tool.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, ensure adequate case ventilation and avoid sustained operation near the unit's maximum rated power. Use quality cable management to prevent airflow obstruction and periodically inspect connectors and cables for dust or wear. When planning multi-GPU or heavily overclocked configurations, allow a safety margin above the estimated system consumption to maintain efficiency and component longevity.
