Gembird 3DP-PLA+1.75-02-B is a blue Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament supplied on a 1 kg spool with a 1.75 mm diameter. PLA+ variant offers reliable dimensional stability and good layer adhesion, suitable for a wide range of desktop FDM 3D printers. The filament melts at approximately 235 °C and is formulated for reduced warping and consistent extrusion, providing predictable print results for prototypes, models and end-use parts where standard PLA properties are acceptable. How to use

Load the Gembird 1.75 mm PLA+ filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer following the printer manufacturer's loading procedure. Set the hotend temperature close to 235 °C and adjust first-layer bed temperature and print speed according to your printer and model geometry; many users print PLA+ with a heated bed between 40–60 °C or with no heated bed depending on adhesion. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and retraction settings to avoid stringing and ensure accurate flow. Store the spool in a dry environment or desiccant container to prevent moisture absorption, which can affect print quality.

Recommendations

For best results, dry the filament if it has absorbed moisture (e.g., 2–4 hours at 40–50 °C in a filament dryer) and use appropriate bed adhesion aids such as glue stick, PEI sheet, or blue painter’s tape when necessary. Adjust cooling fan settings to improve surface finish on small details and reduce bridging. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and high temperatures during storage.
