HDMI Gender Changer HDMI-A HDMI-C ShiverPeaks BS77412

The ShiverPeaks BS77412 is an HDMI gender changer designed to convert a standard HDMI-A (Type A) connector to an HDMI-C (Mini HDMI) connector. Constructed with gold-plated contacts, the adapter provides reliable contact quality and corrosion resistance for consistent signal transmission. Its compact black housing is intended to integrate unobtrusively into home entertainment systems, cameras, tablets, and other devices that use different HDMI plug types.

Advantages

This HDMI-A to HDMI-C adapter delivers a straightforward mechanical conversion without signal processing, preserving the original video and audio quality when used within HDMI specification limits. Gold-plated contacts reduce oxidation and maintain a stable electrical connection over repeated insertions. The compact form factor and neutral color make the adapter convenient for tight spaces and mixed-device setups where different HDMI plug sizes must be mated.

Suitable for

• Connecting cameras, tablets or portable devices with Mini HDMI (Type C) to TVs, monitors or AV receivers with standard HDMI-A ports
• Temporary or semi-permanent connections where a short, simple adapter is preferred over replacing cables
• Home theater setups, presentations, and portable multimedia workflows requiring cross-compatibility between HDMI connector types

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI-A (female) to HDMI-C (female) conversion function
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Color: black housing suitable for discreet installation
• Function: passive adapter, no signal conversion or amplification

How to use

To use the adapter, align and insert the HDMI-A male plug of a standard HDMI cable into the adapter's HDMI-A side, then connect the HDMI-C male plug of your device or cable to the adapter's HDMI-C side. Ensure both connectors are fully seated to establish a secure connection. Because this is a passive gender changer, it should be used within the supported resolutions and features of the connected devices and cables. Avoid excessive force when inserting or removing connectors to prevent damage to ports.

Recommendations

For best results, use the adapter with high-quality HDMI cables rated for the required resolution and features (for example, 4K or HDR). Inspect connectors for dust or debris before connecting and avoid bending the cable sharply near the adapter. The adapter is intended for connector compatibility and does not change signal bandwidth or version; verify device compatibility for advanced HDMI features before relying on them.
