Honeywell SOLARIS XP 7990G 2D RS232 KIT čítačka čiarových kódov s napájacím zdrojom

Honeywell SOLARIS XP 7990G 2D RS232 KIT barcode scanner with power supply is a wired scanning kit built around the SOLARIS XP 7990G 2D imager and an RS232 communication interface. The kit includes the imager module, RS232 cabling and a matching power supply so the scanner is ready for immediate installation in environments that require reliable reading of both 1D and 2D barcodes. The design targets retail points of sale, healthcare workstations and logistics checkpoints where stable wired connectivity and continuous power are needed.

Advantages

The SOLARIS XP 7990G 2D imager offers broad barcode compatibility with consistent decoding performance on printed and mobile barcodes. Wired RS232 communication delivers deterministic data transfer and easy integration with legacy terminals and POS systems. Including a dedicated power supply in the kit simplifies deployment and reduces the number of additional components required. The scanner’s imaging technology provides accurate capture of dense 2D codes and damaged or low-contrast labels.

Suitable for

• Retail point-of-sale scanning of receipts, coupons and product barcodes
• Healthcare patient ID and specimen labeling verification
• Inventory and shipping checkpoints in warehouses and distribution centers
• Legacy systems requiring RS232 interface connectivity

Key specifications

• Scan type: 2D imager with 1D barcode compatibility
• Interface: RS232 wired communication
• Included accessories: RS232 cable and power supply
• Reading capability: printed labels and mobile device displays
• Typical applications: retail, healthcare, logistics

How to use

Connect the scanner to the host system using the RS232 cable and attach the included power supply to the device following the manufacturer’s wiring orientation. Configure the host terminal or POS software to accept input from an RS232 barcode device, and adjust baud rate and parity settings if required for the environment. Point the imager at the barcode and present the code within the scan field until a confirmation tone or indicator acknowledges a successful read. For mobile screens, hold the device steady and avoid extreme viewing angles to improve decoding speed.

Recommendations

Position the scanner to minimize glare and reflections from mobile device screens and fluorescent lighting. Use quality-printed labels where possible and ensure barcode contrast is maintained for reliable reads. For integration with older systems, verify RS232 pinout and communication parameters before final installation. Regularly clean the imager window with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain optimal performance.
