Úložné pole HP Enterprise MSA 2070 32Gb Fibre Channel SFF – 2U rack, 24 x 2,5 palcové jednotky, podpora HDD/SSD

The HP Enterprise MSA 2070 32Gb Fibre Channel SFF is a 2U rack-mounted shared storage array that accepts up to 24 x 2.5" drives and supports both HDD and SSD media. Designed for consolidation of virtualization, databases and mixed server workloads, the array offers high-density capacity in a 445 × 508 × 89 mm chassis with 32 Gb Fibre Channel host connectivity and options for iSCSI or SAS in mixed environments. The MSA Gen7 family provides an entry-level path to higher performance and scalability while preserving simple management and enterprise reliability.

Advantages

The MSA 2070 delivers improved system performance and scalability compared with earlier entry-level arrays, supporting high-capacity media and larger usable pool sizes. It offers flexible host connectivity with 32 Gb Fibre Channel and options for Ethernet or SAS, supports both HDD and SSD drives for tiered or all-flash configurations, and integrates with HPE management and health-check tools for simpler maintenance and firmware updates.

Suitable for

• Virtualization platforms and VM consolidation
• Database storage for small and medium enterprises
• Consolidated mixed workloads and file services
• Environments requiring dense 2.5" drive configurations

Key specifications

• Form factor: 2U rack-mount chassis (445 × 508 × 89 mm)
• Drive bays: up to 24 × 2.5" drive bays
• Media supported: HDD and SSD
• Host connectivity: 32 Gb Fibre Channel (with options for 10/25 GbE iSCSI or 12 Gb SAS)
• Scalability: supports large-capacity media and multi-petabyte scaling within the Gen7 family

How to use

Install the MSA 2070 in a standard 19" rack and populate the drive bays with the chosen HDDs or SSDs according to required capacity and performance. Connect host servers via the supported Fibre Channel, iSCSI, or SAS interfaces, configure storage pools and provisioning through the HPE management interface, and integrate with existing virtualization or database platforms. Use the included tools for health checks and follow phased firmware update procedures to apply online system and media firmware updates when available.

Recommendations

For best results, choose drive types and RAID/tiering settings that match your workload profile (SSD tiers for high IOPS workloads, mixed HDD/SSD for capacity with cost efficiency). Regularly run the HPE MSA Health Check and apply firmware updates during maintenance windows to minimize disruption.
