In daily use

The Irix Cine 150mm T3.0 excels in portrait, product, and nature cinematography where subject isolation is key. The long focal length compresses perspective beautifully, while the fast T3.0 aperture allows shooting in low light with pleasing background blur. The close 0.345 m minimum focus distance opens creative possibilities for extreme close-ups without changing lenses. The lens is fully manual, with smooth, damped focus and aperture rings that provide the tactile feedback expected in cine lenses. The metric focus scale is clear and accurate, essential for precise rack focusing. The weather-sealed construction ensures reliability in challenging environments, and the 0.8 MOD gears integrate seamlessly with standard follow focus systems.
