Kábel-genderchanger DVI-D VGA ShiverPeaks BS77416-2

The ShiverPeaks BS77416-2 cable gender changer converts a DVI-D connection to a VGA interface, enabling connection between DVI-D equipped sources and VGA displays where an adapter or signal conversion is acceptable. The adapter has a compact inline form factor and a black finish that integrates into desktop and AV setups. Connector contacts are nickel-plated to resist corrosion and provide consistent electrical contact over repeated insertions.

Advantages

This cable gender changer provides a simple physical solution for adapting DVI-D outputs to VGA inputs without bulky converters. Nickel-plated contacts improve durability and maintain signal integrity at the contact points. The compact and low-profile design reduces cable clutter and fits into tight spaces behind equipment racks or monitors.

Suitable for

• Connecting a DVI-D video source to a VGA monitor for basic video output
• Temporary setups in offices, classrooms, or meeting rooms
• Home multimedia systems where VGA displays are used with DVI-D devices

Key specifications

• Connector types: DVI-D to VGA adapter (gender changer)
• Contact plating: nickel-plated connector contacts for corrosion resistance
• Colour: black housing and cable finish
• Form factor: compact, inline adapter suitable for tight installation spaces

How to use

Attach the DVI-D side of the gender changer to the DVI-D output of your source device and connect the VGA cable from the display to the VGA end. Ensure both connectors are seated firmly and secured if the connectors provide thumbscrews or fastening features. Power on the source and the display, then configure the display settings on the source device as required for resolution and refresh rate. Note that DVI-D carries a digital-only signal and may not provide analog VGA signals on all sources; compatibility depends on the DVI-D output supporting analog signal pass-through or a converter being used.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for situations where a direct passive adaptation is supported by the DVI-D source. For guaranteed analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog conversion between DVI-D and VGA, consider an active converter. Avoid excessive bending or strain at the connector to maintain contact reliability.
