Kingston Technology USB 3.2 Gen 1 Workflow 5G USB-A a USB-C miniHub

The Kingston Workflow Station system lets you transfer video, photos and audio from multiple sources at once using modular readers and a miniHub. The Workflow 5G miniHub supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbit/s) and provides both USB-A and USB-C connectivity in a compact form factor, making it suitable for on-location work and desktop offload setups. Readers can be attached to the dock or used separately with the included USB cable to match different shoot requirements.

Advantages

The modular design allows connecting up to four readers to the dock simultaneously so you can offload footage from multiple cameras, drones and audio recorders at the same time. USB 3.2 Gen 1 performance reduces transfer times compared with older USB standards. The miniHub’s combination of USB-A and USB-C ports increases compatibility with a wide range of laptops and card readers, while the small footprint makes it convenient for travel and on-site shoots.

Suitable for

• Multi-camera 4K/8K shoots requiring fast card offload
• Drone and action-camera footage transfer (GoPro, etc.)
• Portable audio recorder file transfers for interviews and live events
• On-location workflows where compact, modular readers are needed

• Ports: USB-A and USB-C on the miniHub
• Form factor: compact miniHub designed for portability
• Compatibility: Windows and macOS

How to use

Attach the required readers to the Workflow Station dock or connect them directly to your laptop using the supplied USB cable. Insert cards from cameras, drones or audio recorders into the appropriate readers and initiate file transfer using your operating system’s file manager or your preferred editing software. Multiple readers can be used at once to offload several media sources in parallel, reducing overall transfer time.

Recommendations

For faster and more reliable transfers, use USB 3.2 ports on your host computer and avoid connecting through older USB hubs. When working on location, bring only the miniHub and readers you need to minimize weight and setup time.
