Gira cover plate model 270203 in pure white (reinweiß) is a single-gang accessory designed to provide a clean, neutral finish for compatible Gira switch and socket systems. The cover plate conceals mounting points and the supporting mechanism while matching standard frame dimensions used in Gira modular installations. It is intended as a replacement or cosmetic accessory to restore or update the visible surface of interior electrical fittings without altering the underlying device.

Advantages

The cover plate offers a smooth, durable finish in pure white that integrates with a wide range of interior color schemes. Its form is made to fit standard Gira frame dimensions, ensuring compatibility with existing switches and sockets of the same series. How to use

To install, remove the existing cover plate from the compatible Gira frame by unsnapping or unscrewing according to the module design, taking care to isolate power if required by local regulations. Align the replacement cover with the frame and press into place or secure with the original fasteners until it sits flush. Ensure that the underlying switch or socket mechanism remains properly mounted and that all connections remain undisturbed. Follow local electrical safety rules and, if unsure, consult a qualified electrician for installation.

Recommendations

For long-term appearance, clean the cover plate with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid solvents or abrasive pads that can dull the finish. When replacing multiple covers for consistent aesthetics, check that frame dimensions and series compatibility match existing fittings to ensure correct fit.
