Managed Switch Mikrotik CSS610-8P-2S+IN 8 portov Gigabit Ethernet PoE

CSS610-8P-2S+IN is a compact managed switch designed for versatile deployments, from home networks and small offices to hotels and call centers. It combines eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3af/at PoE-out and two SFP+ ports for 10 Gigabit fiber connectivity, offering a balance of size, features, and cost suitable for scalable installations.

Advantages

The switch provides simple setup and management through a lightweight SwOS interface accessible from a web browser. It supports advanced managed-switch functions such as port-to-port forwarding, broadcast storm control, MAC filtering, VLAN configuration, traffic mirroring, bandwidth limits and adjustments of some MAC and IP header fields. With a total PoE-out budget of 140 W, the device can power multiple IP phones, network cameras or access points while maintaining high-speed uplinks over SFP+.

Key specifications

• Model: CSS610-8P-2S+IN
• Ports: 8 × Gigabit Ethernet with 802.3af/at PoE-out; 2 × SFP+ 10 Gigabit
• Total PoE-out budget: 140 W
• Management: SwOS web-based interface
• Form factor: compact, rack/desktop suitable

How to use

Connect your primary uplink to one of the SFP+ ports for 10 Gigabit fiber connectivity and attach powered devices (IP phones, cameras, access points) to the Gigabit PoE-out ports. Access the SwOS interface through a web browser to configure VLANs, MAC filters, port forwarding, traffic mirroring and bandwidth limits. Monitor and adjust PoE allocation to ensure connected devices receive required power within the 140 W budget.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, place the switch in a well-ventilated area, verify fiber transceiver compatibility for SFP+ links, and plan PoE power distribution so the total draw does not exceed 140 W. Consider deploying switches on each floor or site to simplify cabling and improve scalability.
