TP-Link 16-portový 10/100Mbps + 2-portový Gigabit neřízený PoE switch

The TL-SL1218MP is an easy-to-use PoE switch designed for surveillance systems, offering 16 PoE ports that support IEEE 802.3af/at (PoE+) delivery and a high total power budget. With an extend mode for long-reach deployment, this switch enables combined data and power transmission over extended distances, simplifying camera installations for small to medium business surveillance.

Advantages

The switch supports up to 30 W per PoE port and a combined PoE power budget of up to 192 W for all 16 PoE ports, allowing connection of multiple IP cameras. Extend mode increases PoE transmission distance up to 250 m, reducing the need for additional power sources in large-area deployments. Priority mode ensures that critical video traffic is forwarded with higher priority under heavy load. The hardware-based design allows operation without user login for straightforward setup.

Key specifications

• Model: TL-SL1218MP
• PoE standard: IEEE 802.3af/at (PoE+)
• PoE power per port: up to 30 W
• Total PoE budget: up to 192 W
• PoE ports: 16
• Extended PoE transmission distance: up to 250 m (extend mode)
• Traffic priority: Priority mode for video/data
• Configuration: Hardware switch, no login required

How to use

Install the TL-SL1218MP in a ventilated enclosure and connect IP cameras to the PoE ports using suitable Ethernet cabling. Use standard mode for typical deployments and enable extend mode when cameras require power and data over distances up to 250 m. Rely on the built-in priority mode to ensure important video streams receive preferential forwarding during high traffic. No software setup or login is required for basic operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use shielded or quality-rated Ethernet cables and verify total PoE power requirements of connected devices do not exceed the 192 W budget. When deploying at extended distances, confirm camera models support long-reach PoE and plan mounting locations to maintain signal integrity.
