Rittal TS 8609.160 is a single-piece steel mounting panel in steel grey, designed for installation inside electrical cabinets and wall-mounted enclosures. The panel provides a flat internal surface for mounting and organizing electrical components, DIN-rail accessories and wiring within industrial and commercial control cabinets. Supplied as one piece, it is intended to simplify internal assembly and to create a stable support surface for controls, terminal blocks and smaller devices.

Advantages

The steel construction offers mechanical strength and reliable support for mounted components while the prefabricated single-piece format reduces assembly time compared with custom-cut panels. The neutral steel grey finish matches standard enclosure interiors and helps maintain a uniform appearance. Lightweight packaging and a compact form factor make handling and installation straightforward for maintenance and installation personnel.

How to use

Install the panel inside a compatible enclosure by aligning it with the enclosure mounting points or designated internal supports, then secure it with appropriate fasteners through the enclosure's predrilled holes or mounting rails. Once fixed, mount DIN-rail sections, terminal blocks and other devices onto the panel using standard mounting hardware. Ensure all electrical work is carried out with the power disconnected and in accordance with applicable installation standards and safety regulations.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, verify compatibility with the enclosure model and available mounting points before installation. Use corrosion-resistant fasteners in humid or outdoor-adjacent installations and leave sufficient clearance for cable routing and ventilation around mounted components.
