NAS TERRAMASTER F2-425 Intel Celeron N5095 Quad-Core 2 GHz 4 GB DDR4 2-Bay

TERRAMASTER F2-425 is a two-bay NAS powered by an Intel Celeron N5095 quad-core 2.0 GHz processor and equipped with 4 GB DDR4 memory. Designed for home and small office environments, this NAS supports installation of two 3.5" or 2.5" HDD/SSD drives and provides centralized file storage, media streaming, backup and remote access services. The device runs TERRAMASTER's operating system to manage shared folders, user permissions, RAID configurations and common network services for simplified file sharing and data protection.

Advantages

The F2-425 combines an energy-efficient quad-core processor with 4 GB DDR4 memory to deliver smooth file transfers, responsive web-based management and basic multimedia tasks. Compact two-bay design allows for straightforward capacity expansion and RAID redundancy. Built-in networking and support for common NAS services enable scheduled backups, remote file access and multimedia streaming without additional servers.

Suitable for

• Home media storage and streaming of photos, music and video
• Small office centralized file storage and team collaboration
• Scheduled backups and versioned file protection for desktops and laptops
• Remote access to documents and on-the-go file synchronization

How to use

Install one or two compatible HDDs or SSDs into the drive bays following the included physical installation instructions, then connect the NAS to a local network via Ethernet and power it on. Use the browser-based initialization wizard to complete basic configuration: set administrator credentials, configure storage volumes and choose RAID mode if using two drives. Create users and shared folders, set access permissions and enable desired services such as scheduled backup, remote access or media server. Regularly monitor system status and available updates through the management interface.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use enterprise-grade or NAS-rated drives for continuous operation and configure RAID 1 if data redundancy is required. Keep the NAS firmware and applications updated, schedule regular backups to an external device or cloud service, and position the unit in a well-ventilated area to maintain stable temperatures during extended use.
