Network Attached Storage TERRAMASTER F4-425 NAS s Intel Celeron N5095 Quad-Core 2 GHz, 4 GB DDR4

The TERRAMASTER F4-425 NAS is a 4-bay network attached storage appliance powered by an Intel Celeron N5095 quad-core 2.0 GHz processor and equipped with 4 GB of DDR4 memory. Designed for home users and small offices, this unit centralizes file storage, backup, media streaming and remote access while supporting multiple HDD or SSD drives and common RAID configurations. The compact enclosure combines straightforward drive installation with a web-based management interface to simplify data organization and sharing across a local network or via secure remote connections.

Advantages

The F4-425 delivers multitasking performance appropriate for file serving, scheduled backups and multimedia streaming thanks to its quad-core CPU and DDR4 memory. Its four drive bays allow flexible storage expansion and RAID setups for improved redundancy or performance. The device supports standard NAS services for centralized data management, user and permission control, and remote access options, enabling consistent access to files from PCs, mobile devices and media players. The unit's compatibility with both HDDs and SSDs gives users the option to optimize for capacity or responsiveness.

How to use

Install desired HDDs or SSDs into the four drive bays following the instructions in the hardware guide, then connect the NAS to your network via Ethernet and power on the unit. Access the web-based management interface from a browser on the same network to initialize storage pools, configure RAID, create user accounts and set up shared folders. Enable backup jobs and media server services as needed, and install any available client apps on computers and mobile devices for remote access and synchronization. Regularly monitor system notifications and storage health from the administration console.

Recommendations

For balanced performance and reliability, use a mix of high-capacity HDDs for bulk storage and SSDs for caching or high-demand folders. Configure RAID according to your priority—choose RAID levels that emphasize redundancy if data protection is critical, or performance-oriented setups when speed is the primary requirement. Keep firmware and application packages up to date, schedule regular backups, and enable user access controls to maintain data security.
