The Bosch Universal HedgeCut 60 Double blade 480 W 3.5 kg is a corded electric hedge trimmer designed for efficient trimming of hedges, bushes and small shrubs. Equipped with a 480 W motor and a double-sided blade, this tool delivers clean cuts with each pass while remaining lightweight at 3.5 kg. With an overall length of 1042 mm and a cutting width of 241 mm, it balances reach and control for home garden maintenance and seasonal shaping tasks.

Advantages

The double-sided blade design allows cutting on both sides without the need to rotate the tool, improving workflow and reducing time spent on hedgerow shaping. A compact overall length and relatively low weight enhance maneuverability and reduce operator fatigue during extended use. The 480 W motor provides reliable power for trimming medium-density branches and regular hedge maintenance. Ergonomic handling features and an accessible switch arrangement contribute to safe and precise operation.

Suitable for

• Trimming residential hedges and garden borders
• Shaping small to medium shrubs
• Seasonal pruning and maintenance of ornamental hedgerows
• Tasks requiring a lightweight, easy-to-handle electric trimmer

Key specifications

• Motor power: 480 W
• Blade configuration: double-sided/double blade
• Cutting width: 241 mm
• Overall length: 1042 mm
• Weight: 3.5 kg

How to use

Before starting, check that the tool is disconnected from the power supply and inspect the blades for damage or debris. Connect the trimmer to a suitable extension cable rated for outdoor use, then hold the tool with both hands using the designated grips. Switch on the motor and approach the hedge slowly, using smooth, sweeping motions along the top and sides to achieve an even finish. For thicker branches, make multiple shallow passes rather than forcing the blades through large diameters. After use, disconnect from power, clean the blades and store the trimmer in a dry place.

Recommendations

For best results use the trimmer for regular maintenance rather than heavy-duty cutting of large branches; wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection; keep the extension cable behind you and away from the cutting path to prevent accidental damage.
