Okulár GSO Super View 42mm (2 palce) SV42 — širokouhlý okulár s 42 mm ohniskovou vzdialenosťou, 2-palcová objímka

GSO Super View SV42 is a 42 mm focal length eyepiece with a 2-inch (50.8 mm) barrel designed for wide-field astronomical observation. The eyepiece offers a large apparent field of view that enables comfortable visual sweeping across star fields and extended deep-sky objects. Intended for 2-inch focusers, it provides low to moderate magnification suitable for panoramic views and locating faint objects without excessive eye movement.

Advantages

The optical design delivers a broad apparent field of view and an even, well-corrected image across much of the field, reducing the need for frequent re-centering. The 2-inch barrel provides full illumination on larger telescopes and improves eye relief for relaxed viewing sessions. Built to fit standard 2-inch focusers, the eyepiece is compatible with common amateur telescopes and supports comfortable visual observation of wide sky areas.

Suitable for

• Wide-field viewing of open clusters and large nebulae
• Scanning Milky Way fields and star-hopping to locate objects
• Low-magnification observation for finder-style framing and panoramic views
• Visual observation with medium to large aperture telescopes equipped with 2-inch focusers

Key specifications

• Focal length: 42 mm
• Barrel size: 2-inch (50.8 mm)
• Designed use: wide-field astronomical eyepiece
• Optical characteristic: large apparent field of view for panoramic viewing
• Compatibility: telescopes with 2-inch focusers

How to use

Insert the eyepiece into the 2-inch focuser of your telescope and secure it with the focuser's thumbscrews or clamp. Start with rough focusing at low magnification, then use the focuser to obtain a sharp image. For best results, align your eye with the eyepiece center and adjust eye relief distance until the field appears evenly illuminated. When switching from higher-power eyepieces, re-center the target and refocus to account for the lower magnification and wider field.

Recommendations

Use the SV42 for initial wide-field surveys to locate extended objects before switching to higher-power eyepieces for detail. In telescopes with moderate to large apertures the 2-inch barrel ensures fuller field illumination; in smaller scopes check mechanical clearance in the focuser. For comfortable sessions, pair with a stable mount and allow the telescope to reach thermal equilibrium to reduce image shift.
