Optická sieťová jednotka UBIQUITI WAVE-FIBER-ONU s gigabitovými Ethernet portmi

UBIQUITI WAVE-FIBER-ONU is an Optical Network Unit designed for fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) installations, providing Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for end-user devices. It converts optical signals from a fiber uplink into copper Ethernet, enabling wired high-speed access in residential and small-business environments. The unit supports standard fiber networking architectures and integrates into existing local networks to deliver stable wired performance for Internet, VoIP, and IPTV services.

Advantages

The UBIQUITI WAVE-FIBER-ONU offers a compact form factor and straightforward deployment for FTTP environments. It provides multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports for reliable wired connections, low-latency data transfer, and consistent throughput suitable for typical home and small-office demands. The device simplifies fiber-to-Ethernet conversion and reduces the need for additional equipment by delivering a ready-to-use copper interface at the customer premises.

Suitable for

• Residential fiber-to-the-premises installations requiring wired Gigabit access
• Small business offices needing reliable Ethernet ports for workstations and VoIP phones
• Service providers deploying customer premises equipment for FTTP subscribers
• Environments where low-latency wired connections are preferred for streaming or real-time applications

Key specifications

• Optical uplink interface suitable for FTTP fiber connections
• Multiple Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports for wired device connectivity
• Ethernet speeds up to 1 Gbps per port
• Compact desktop or wall-mountable enclosure for flexible placement
• Standard power supply input for customer-premises equipment
• Support for common Ethernet features required in residential and small-business networks

How to use

Connect the fiber uplink from the service provider to the optical input of the WAVE-FIBER-ONU, then plug Ethernet cables from the device’s Gigabit ports to computers, routers, IP phones, or set-top boxes. Power the unit with the appropriate adapter and allow it to establish the optical link; status indicators will show link and activity states. Configure any required network settings on the connected router or management interface provided by the service provider to enable Internet and other services.

Recommendations

Install the unit in a well-ventilated, dry location near connected devices and the fiber entry point. Use shielded Ethernet cables for best signal integrity where interference may be present, and follow the service provider’s provisioning instructions for authentication or VLAN settings if required.
