Optický adaptér SC ShiverPeaks 07-60062 aqua multimódový

The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Adapter SC 07-60062 Aqua Multi-mode is a compact coupling component designed for multi-mode optical links using SC connectors. It provides a simple, passive interface to join two SC-terminated fibre cables, maintaining alignment and allowing signal transmission with minimal insertion loss. The aqua colour identifies the adapter for multi-mode systems and helps with quick visual identification in patch panels and cabling assemblies.

Advantages

This SC fibre optic adapter offers stable mechanical alignment for SC duplex connectors and is suitable for repeated mating cycles without degradation of connection quality. The passive construction requires no power and adds negligible insertion loss when used with compatible multi-mode cabling. Colour coding in aqua simplifies installation and maintenance in environments with mixed connector types or multiple fibre links.

Suitable for

• Joining two SC-terminated multi-mode fibre cables in patch panels
• Spare or replacement adapters in data centre and telecom racks
• Optical distribution frames and fibre management panels
• Testing setups where quick connection and disconnection of multi-mode fibres is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC duplex interface for multi-mode fibres
• Fibre type compatibility: multi-mode
• Colour: aqua for multi-mode identification
• Construction: passive ceramic/alignment sleeve for low insertion loss
• Mounting: panel or bulkhead installation in standard adapter cutouts

How to use

Install the adapter into a compatible panel or bulkhead cutout, ensuring the adapter snaps or secures into place according to the panel design. Insert SC-terminated multi-mode fibre connectors into each side of the adapter until a positive click or stop is felt, confirming proper engagement. To disconnect, depress the connector latch and pull straight back to avoid stressing the fibre. Keep protective dust caps on unused ports to maintain connector cleanliness and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the adapter with multimode fibres of matching core size and connector polish. Inspect connector endfaces and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating. Store and handle the adapter and connectors in a dust-free environment and avoid excessive bending or tensile load on connected fibre cables.
