Optický kábel Helos 10 m OM4 LC/SC

The Helos 10m OM4 LC/SC fibre optic cable provides a 10-metre multimode connection with LC and SC terminations and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex links, this fibre optic cable supports high-speed data transmission and stable signal integrity over extended distances, making it suitable for structured cabling in data centres and enterprise networks. The cable construction and OM4 grade ensure reduced modal dispersion and improved bandwidth for modern network applications.

Advantages

The Helos OM4 cable delivers consistent performance for multimode networks, combining LC and SC connector compatibility for flexible equipment interfacing. Its 50 µm core and OM4 specification offer higher bandwidth and improved modal dispersion control compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling reliable transmission at gigabit and multi-gigabit rates. The 10 m length provides convenient reach for rack-to-rack or patch panel connections while preserving signal quality for full duplex operation.

Suitable for

• Data centre backbone and server interconnects
• Enterprise LAN patching and horizontal cabling
• High-speed storage area networks (SAN) and fibre channel links
• Telecommunications rooms and equipment patch panels

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM4
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC to SC
• Cable length: 10 m
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Typical applications: Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet, fibre channel

How to use

Verify that connected devices accept LC and SC connectors and power down equipment if recommended by the manufacturer before making connections. Align and insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until a secure click is felt. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends (observe minimum bend radius specified by equipment or installation standards) and secure with appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors. For clean optical performance, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces before mating using approved fibre cleaning tools.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable in environments within normal indoor temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid repeated flexing near connectors, protect terminations with dust caps when not in use, and follow industry best practices for fibre handling and polishing to maintain optimal optical performance.
