Optický kábel METZ CONNECT 151J1EOJO20E 2x SC 2x LC OM3 2 m aqua

The METZ CONNECT 151J1EOJO20E is a 2 m fibre optic cable built to OM3 specifications, featuring two SC and two LC connectors and a 50 µm core diameter. Its aqua-coloured jacket provides clear visual identification in racks and cable runs. The cable is designed for multimode applications where reliable high-speed data transmission and low insertion loss are required, suitable for structured cabling in data centres and enterprise networks.

Advantages

This OM3 multimode cable offers a 50 µm core optimized for laser-based transmission, supporting higher bandwidth and extended reach compared to lower-grade multimode fibres. The combination of SC and LC connectors provides flexible connection options to different equipment types without additional adapters. The 2 m length balances ease of routing with minimal excess cable in patch panels or server shelves, while the aqua jacket conforms to common colour-coding for OM3 multimode installations.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between switches, servers and transceivers in data centres
• Linking optical equipment where both SC and LC ports are present
• Short- to medium-reach multimode links in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode (50 µm core)
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: 2x SC and 2x LC
• Jacket colour: aqua

How to use

Route the cable between devices ensuring bend radii are not exceeded and connectors are kept clean. Insert the SC and LC connectors into corresponding ports until they click into place. For equipment with dust caps, remove caps immediately before insertion and replace caps when the cable is disconnected to protect the fibre endfaces. Verify link status and optical power levels after installation to confirm correct operation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry environment away from sharp bends, tensile overload and sources of mechanical damage. Use cleaning tools or lint-free wipes with appropriate fibre cleaning fluid on connector endfaces before mating to reduce insertion loss and return loss. Match OM3 multimode cabling to compatible transceivers and modules for predictable performance.
