Optický konektor SC/SC samica/samica ShiverPeaks BS08-10212

The ShiverPeaks BS08-10212 SC/SC Female/Female fibre optic connector is a bulkhead-style adapter designed to join two SC-terminated fibre cables. Engineered for standard single- and multimode SC connectors, this adapter aligns ferrules precisely to maintain optical performance and reduce insertion loss in rack, patch panel, or enclosure installations.

Advantages

This SC/SC female-to-female adapter provides stable mechanical alignment and low insertion loss for fibre links. Constructed for easy panel mounting, it supports reliable mating cycles and consistent optical contact. The compact bulkhead form factor saves space in patch panels and enclosures while maintaining straightforward access for cable insertion and removal.

Suitable for

• Connecting two SC-terminated fibre optic cables through a bulkhead or panel
• Patch panels and fibre distribution frames in data centres
• Telecommunications equipment and network racks
• Enclosures and wall plates where SC adapters are required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female to SC female bulkhead adapter
• Compatibility: standard SC ferrule connectors (singlemode and multimode)
• Form factor: bulkhead/panel-mount adapter
• Physical interface: duplex alignment sleeve for two-fibre connection
• Material: precision ceramic alignment sleeve (for stable ferrule alignment)
• Mounting: snap-in or screw-mount compatible with standard panels

How to use

Install the adapter into a compatible panel or bulkhead opening by aligning the adapter body with the panel cutout and securing it according to the panel's mounting method. Insert SC-terminated fibre patch cords into each side of the adapter until they click into place, ensuring clean, dust-free connectors for optimal performance. To remove, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule or alignment sleeve.

Recommendations

Keep connector endfaces clean and protected when not mated; use dust caps and perform regular inspection with appropriate cleaning tools. For critical links, verify insertion loss with test equipment after installation and follow recommended handling practices to extend connector life and maintain consistent optical performance.
