PCI karta DAWICONTROL DC-644e RAID Blister — 4-portový SATA III radič

DAWICONTROL DC-644e RAID Blister is a PCI expansion card that provides four SATA III ports for connecting storage drives and enabling RAID configurations. Designed for desktop systems with an available PCI slot, the controller expands a computer's storage connectivity and supports hardware RAID management as indicated by the model designation. The card enables connection of multiple SATA devices and is intended to help organize drives for increased redundancy or improved performance depending on the chosen RAID level.

Advantages

The controller offers four SATA III ports allowing transfer rates up to the SATA III standard for compatible drives and simplifies adding additional drives to systems that lack native SATA connectors. Hardware RAID capability provides onboard management of RAID arrays, reducing reliance on software RAID and potentially lowering CPU overhead. The PCI interface makes the card compatible with a wide range of desktop motherboards that include a PCI slot.

Suitable for

• Expanding storage capacity in desktop PCs
• Creating RAID arrays for redundancy (mirroring) or performance (striping)
• Connecting multiple SATA drives for data organization and backups
• Systems that require additional SATA ports without replacing the motherboard

Key specifications

• Interface: PCI expansion card
• Number of ports: 4 SATA III ports
• SATA standard: SATA III (6 Gbps signaling rate per port)
• Functionality: Hardware RAID support (model indicates RAID capability)
• Form factor: Low-profile/standard PCI card for desktop installation

How to use

Install the DAWICONTROL DC-644e RAID Blister into an available PCI slot on a powered-down desktop system and secure it to the chassis. Connect SATA data cables from the card's ports to the SATA drives and attach power connectors from the system power supply to each drive. Boot the system and enter the motherboard or card BIOS/firmware interface to verify device detection. Configure RAID arrays through the card's hardware RAID management utility or firmware according to the desired RAID level and follow on-screen prompts to initialize arrays and prepare drives for use.

Recommendations

Use drives of identical capacity and performance characteristics when creating RAID arrays for best results. Ensure the system BIOS and any required drivers or firmware for the controller are updated before configuring RAID. Maintain regular backups, especially prior to modifying arrays or performing initialization steps.
