Procesorový chladič Noctua NH-L9A-AM5 CHROMAX.čierny 9,2 cm 600-2500 ot/min

The NH-L9a-AM5 chromax.black is an all-black, low-profile CPU cooler for AMD AM5 (LGA1718) systems designed for HTPCs and Small Form Factor builds. It combines a 37 mm overall height with the NF-A9x14 PWM fan and Noctua’s proven heatsink design to deliver effective cooling with low noise, full RAM and PCIe compatibility, a SecuFirm2™ low-profile AM5 mounting system, NT-H1 thermal compound, and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Advantages

The chromax.black version features a black coated heatsink, a black NF-A9x14 fan with black anti-vibration pads, black fan screws and black mounting parts for seamless integration in dark or coordinated builds. Its 37 mm profile makes it suitable for compact HTPC and SFF cases while preserving 100% compatibility with tall memory modules and PCIe cards. The included Low-Noise Adaptor reduces fan speed for quieter operation, and the optional NA-FD1 fan duct can improve intake temperatures in perforated SFF cases. The heatsink fins are soldered to the heatpipes for long-term thermal reliability, and the package includes Noctua’s NT-H1 thermal paste and the SecuFirm2™ mounting system tailored for AM5.

Key specifications

• Socket compatibility: AMD AM5 (LGA1718)
• Total height: 37 mm (23 mm heatsink + 14 mm fan)
• Fan model: NF-A9x14 PWM, max speed 2500 rpm (LNA reduces to 1800 rpm)
• Design: chromax.black — black coated heatsink and black fan with black accessories
• Compatibility: 100% RAM and PCIe compatibility for compact mini-ITX layouts
• Mounting: SecuFirm2™ low-profile AM5 mounting system; optional NM-AM4-L9aL9i kit for AM4 retrofit
• Included accessories: NT-H1 thermal compound, Low-Noise Adaptor (LNA)
• Warranty: 6 years manufacturer’s warranty

How to use

Install the NH-L9a-AM5 chromax.black using the supplied SecuFirm2™ AM5 mounting hardware by fixing the heatsink from the back of the motherboard through the stock backplate holes. Apply a small, even amount of the included NT-H1 thermal compound to the CPU heatspreader, position the cooler, and secure it following the torque and sequence instructions in the manual. Connect the NF-A9x14 PWM fan to the CPU_FAN header for automatic speed control; use the Low-Noise Adaptor if lower maximum rpm is desired. If your small-form-factor case has a perforated side panel, consider installing the optional NA-FD1 fan duct to channel fresh air from outside the case to the cooler.

Recommendations

Ensure the case provides adequate airflow for compact configurations; check motherboard keep-out zones to confirm 100% RAM and PCIe compatibility. For retrofitting to AM4, download the optional NM-AM4-L9aL9i mounting kit from Noctua’s website. Use the LNA with lower-heat CPUs/APUs to achieve quieter operation while monitoring temperatures under load.
