ROLINE InfiniBand optický kábel 7m 2x LC OM5 zelený

The ROLINE InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable 7m 2x LC OM5 Green is a multimode fiber cable designed for high-throughput network links. At 7 metres length and fitted with two LC connectors, it supports full duplex InfiniBand connections and uses OM5 multimode fiber with a 50 µm core diameter. The cable’s green jacket identifies OM5 fiber and helps with organized cable management in rack and data center environments.

Advantages

This OM5 multimode fibre cable provides low insertion loss and consistent signal quality across short to medium distances, making it suitable for high-speed InfiniBand links. The LC duplex connectors offer compact, reliable mating for dense patching panels. The 50 µm core multimode construction enables compatibility with common multimode transceivers and reduces modal dispersion compared to larger core sizes. The 7 m length balances reach and manageability within server racks and network closets.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand interconnects in server clusters and HPC environments
• High-speed data links between switches, NICs and HBAs
• Data center spine and leaf connections where OM5 multimode fiber is deployed
• Patch panels and short-run trunking inside racks

Key specifications

• Connector type: 2x LC duplex
• Fiber type: OM5 multimode fiber
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Cable length: 7 metres
• Colour: Green (OM5 identification)
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Install the cable by firmly inserting each LC connector into the corresponding LC port on the InfiniBand transceiver or patch panel until the latch clicks. Ensure both ends are connected to devices configured for full duplex operation. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to prevent attenuation and mechanical stress. Use cable management accessories to secure and separate fiber runs from electrical cabling and moving components.

Recommendations

Handle the OM5 fibre with care: keep connector end-faces clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools and protective dust caps when not in use. Verify compatibility of transceivers and optics with OM5 multimode fiber and LC connectors before deployment. For best performance in data center installations, label both ends and document the run in your patching plan.
