ROLINE InfiniBand/sklenené vlákno kábel 15 m 2x LC zelený OM5

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 15 m 2x LC Green OM5 is a 15-metre duplex multimode patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers and enterprise networks. It features two LC connectors on each end for full-duplex links and uses OM5 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core, offering compatibility with modern short-range high-bandwidth applications. The cable's green jacket color provides easy identification for wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) or OM5 infrastructure deployments.

Advantages

This OM5 multimode cable supports high-bandwidth, low-latency connections suitable for InfiniBand fabrics and other high-performance network architectures. The 50 µm core diameter and LC connector format ensure reliable optical coupling and low insertion loss across standard multimode transceivers. At 15 metres length, the cable balances reach and manageability for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections while the durable jacket protects fibers from mechanical stress in patching environments.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand interconnects in HPC clusters and compute nodes
• Short-range high-speed links in data centers and server rooms
• Patch panel to switch or transceiver connections using LC interfaces
• Multimode OM5 deployments requiring wavelength multiplexing or easy identification

Key specifications

• Length: 15 m
• Connector type: 2x LC duplex
• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Mode: Duplex (full duplex)
• Jacket color: Green

How to use

Connect the LC duplex connectors to compatible LC transceivers or panel ports, ensuring correct alignment of transmit and receive channels for full-duplex communication. Route the cable through cable management trays or between racks while avoiding sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to prevent signal degradation. Verify optical link status via network equipment diagnostics after installation.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector boots and avoid pulling on the fibre itself. For reliable performance, keep connectors clean and use dust caps when not connected; perform connector cleaning before mating if required. Use the cable for short to medium-range high-speed links and follow equipment vendor guidelines for supported multimode optics and distances.
