ROLINE InfiniBand/sklenené vlákno kábel 5 m 2x LC zelený OM5

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 5 m 2x LC Green OM5 is a 5-metre duplex multimode fibre cable designed for high-speed data transmission. Featuring two LC connectors and OM5 fibre with a 50 µm core diameter, the cable supports full-duplex communication suitable for modern InfiniBand and fibre channel environments. The green jacket color identifies the OM5 multimode specification and helps with quick visual identification in dense cabling installations.

Advantages

This OM5 multimode cable provides low attenuation and consistent modal bandwidth for short- to medium-range links. The LC connector pair offers a compact footprint and reliable physical contact for high-density switch ports and transceivers. The 5 m length balances reach and manageability, reducing the need for additional patching while allowing flexible placement of equipment. The cable's construction is intended to minimize crosstalk and support stable full-duplex data flows.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand connections in compute clusters and HPC environments
• Data centre interconnects and server-to-switch links
• Storage networks and fibre channel applications
• High-density patch panels and network cabinets
• Multimode transceiver connections (LC duplex)

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Connector type: LC duplex (2x LC)
• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identification)

How to use

Connect each LC connector to the corresponding LC port on your InfiniBand adapter, switch or transceiver, ensuring correct orientation and secure latch engagement. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to preserve signal integrity. For installation in cabinets or racks, use cable organizers or Velcro ties to prevent strain on the connectors and to keep airflow unobstructed. Verify link status on connected devices after installation to confirm successful full-duplex communication.

Recommendations

Handle fibre ends with care and keep dust caps on unused connectors. Clean connector endfaces before making connections and avoid excessive bending or pulling. Use this 5 m OM5 LC duplex cable for short- to medium-range high-speed links where multimode OM5 performance and LC connector density are required.
