Ruckus ICX 8100 Kompaktný switch 16x 10/100/1000 Mbps PoE

Deploying a reliable network in space-constrained environments often means compromising on performance or power delivery. The Ruckus ICX 8100-C16P eliminates that trade-off by packing 16 Gigabit PoE+ ports, 2.5G uplinks, and 10G SFP+ slots into a silent, fanless chassis that fits on a desk or wall. Whether you're connecting IP phones, cameras, access points, or edge devices, this switch delivers the power and throughput your modern network demands without the noise or bulk of traditional rack-mount switches.

Who is it for

This switch is ideal for small to medium businesses, retail branches, classrooms, and hospitality venues that need a high-performance, quiet, and compact switching solution. It's perfect for IT administrators who require advanced Layer 2/3 features, robust security, and easy management without a dedicated wiring closet.

Main features

• 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ and a total power budget of 240W to power devices like VoIP phones, IP cameras, and wireless access points.
• 2 x 2.5G RJ45 uplinks and 2 x 10G SFP+ uplinks for high-speed backbone connectivity and future-proofing.
• Fanless design for silent operation, making it suitable for open office areas, classrooms, and other noise-sensitive environments.
• Compact desktop or wall-mountable form factor saves valuable space.
• Layer 2/3 managed features including VLANs, QoS, link aggregation, and static routing.
• Comprehensive security with 802.1X, ACLs, port security, and DHCP snooping.
• Dual-core ARM processor and 2GB RAM ensure smooth performance under load.
• Supports Ruckus SmartZone for unified management alongside Ruckus wireless infrastructure.

Tips

To maximize the PoE budget, plan your powered device count carefully: for example, 16 PoE+ devices at 15.4W each would exceed the 240W budget, so consider using lower-power devices or adding a PoE injector for high-demand endpoints. Use the 10G SFP+ uplinks for stacking or connecting to a core switch to avoid bottlenecks. Mount the switch on a wall or place it on a shelf with adequate ventilation; although fanless, it still requires airflow for heat dissipation.
