Sériový server zariadení Exsys EX-6111-2POE Ethernet na 1×RS-232 s PoE a 5V/4A napájacím zdrojom

Exsys EX-6111-2POE is an Ethernet-to-serial device server that provides a single RS-232 serial port for integrating legacy serial equipment into IP networks. The unit supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for data and power delivery over a single cable and is supplied with a separate 5V/4A power adapter for environments without PoE. Designed for use with POS terminals, industrial controllers and sensors, the EX-6111-2POE enables remote management and data exchange across LAN or WAN connections while preserving existing serial interfaces.

Advantages

The EX-6111-2POE consolidates serial-to-Ethernet conversion and power options in one compact device, reducing cabling and simplifying installation. Support for PoE allows placement where local AC power is inconvenient, while the included 5V/4A power supply provides a fallback or alternative power source. The single RS-232 port maintains compatibility with a wide range of legacy equipment and the Ethernet interface enables remote access, monitoring, and integration with modern networked applications.

Suitable for

• Connecting point-of-sale (POS) terminals and receipt printers to IP networks
• Integrating industrial controllers and PLCs into Ethernet-based control systems
• Remote monitoring of serial sensors and measurement instruments over LAN/WAN
• Serial device access for remote configuration, diagnostics and data logging

Key specifications

• Interface: 1 × RS-232 serial port
• Network: Ethernet connectivity with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
• Power: included external 5 V / 4 A power supply; PoE power option
• Function: Serial-to-Ethernet conversion for remote access and data transfer
• Typical applications: POS systems, industrial automation, sensor networks

How to use

Connect the serial device to the EX-6111-2POE using a standard RS-232 cable and attach the unit to the network via Ethernet. If PoE is available on the network switch or injector, the device can receive power over the same Ethernet cable; otherwise connect the supplied 5V/4A adapter to power the unit. Configure network and serial parameters using the device's management interface or supplied configuration tools to match baud rate, parity, data bits and stop bits of the connected serial equipment. After configuration, map serial data streams to TCP/UDP or virtual COM ports on host systems as required by the application.

Recommendations

Place the EX-6111-2POE in a location with stable network connectivity and, when possible, use PoE for simplified cabling. Verify serial port settings on both the device server and connected equipment before final deployment, and secure network access with appropriate firewall and authentication measures to protect remote serial communications.
