Sieťový kábel S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 0,5 m oranžový

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 0.5 m Orange is a short patch cable engineered for high-speed LAN connections where space is limited. It uses Category 7 specification with S/FTP shielding (overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to support reliable signal transmission and corrosion resistance. Its 0.5 m length and bright orange jacket make it convenient for organized patching in server racks, desktop setups or network testing environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction improves noise immunity compared with unshielded or partially shielded cables, supporting stable Gigabit and multi-gigabit data rates. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts help maintain low contact resistance and long-term connector reliability. The compact 0.5 m length reduces excess cable clutter and signal attenuation in short interconnects. The orange jacket provides visual identification for quick cable routing and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches, routers and servers in racks
• Desktop networking and point-to-point links in home or office setups
• Testing equipment and temporary network configurations
• Environments where improved EMI protection is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat. 7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil for individual pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Orange

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of a switch, router or network interface and the other connector into the corresponding device port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the locking latch clicks. For shielded installations, verify that connected equipment and patch panels support cable shielding and that proper grounding practices are followed to maintain EMI protection. Avoid tight bends and pinch points; maintain a minimum bend radius as recommended for Ethernet patch cables to prevent damage.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m Cat. 7 S/FTP cable for short, high-quality patching inside racks and between adjacent devices. For installations requiring full shielding performance, pair the cable with shielded ports and grounded panels. Replace the cable if connectors become loose, contacts are damaged, or the jacket shows visible wear.
