Sieťový extender Renkforce 800916 — 2-drôtový predlžovač dosahu, až do 500 m, 100 MBit/s

The Renkforce 800916 network extender enables Ethernet transmission over existing 2-wire cabling for distances up to 500 m and data rates up to 100 MBit/s. It is intended to provide network connectivity where running new Ethernet cable is impractical, using standard two-conductor wires already present in buildings. The device supports integration with typical network equipment and preserves data throughput for connected devices across extended runs.

Advantages

The extender uses existing 2-wire infrastructure to avoid the cost and disruption of installing new Ethernet cabling. It supports transmission distances up to 500 m while maintaining speeds up to 100 MBit/s, which is sufficient for many office, home, and industrial applications. The solution is compact and designed for straightforward connection to existing network devices, enabling remote placement of equipment such as access points, cameras, or workstations without complex configuration.

Suitable for

• Extending LAN connectivity to remote rooms over existing 2-wire electrical or telephone cabling
• Connecting IP cameras, Wi‑Fi access points, or PoE splitters located far from switches
• Temporary or retrofit installations where new Ethernet cable runs are not feasible
• Small office, home, or light industrial environments requiring extended network reach

Key specifications

• Transmission medium: existing 2‑wire cabling
• Maximum range: up to 500 m (dependent on cabling quality and environment)
• Maximum data rate: up to 100 MBit/s
• Network interface: Ethernet RJ45 on device ends for connection to standard network equipment
• Compatibility: designed to operate with typical Ethernet switches, routers, and client devices
• Installation type: inline extender for point‑to‑point runs over two conductors

How to use

Install one unit at the network source by connecting its Ethernet port to a switch or router, and attach the two‑wire cable to the extender's designated terminals. Place the matching unit at the remote location and connect the two‑wire cable to its terminals, then plug the remote unit's Ethernet port into the target device such as a camera, access point, or PC. Power the units as required and verify link/activity indicators to confirm connectivity. No special software is normally required; the extender functions transparently as a physical layer bridge between the two Ethernet ports.

Recommendations

For best results, use good quality two‑conductor cabling in continuous runs with minimal splices and avoid routing alongside high‑voltage power lines to reduce interference. Verify cable condition and measure distance to ensure the run does not exceed the practical range for the desired throughput. When installing in industrial environments, consider mounting in protected enclosures and test the connection before finalizing placement.
