Sieťový kábel shiverpeaks BASIC-S 20 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 20 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a high-performance connection cable designed for reliable Ethernet links between switches, routers, patch panels and networked devices. The 20 metre length provides flexibility for longer runs in home, office or data-room environments. Cat7 classification and S/FTP shielding support high data rates while reducing crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, the cable delivers consistent contact conductivity and improved corrosion resistance. The neutral grey jacket offers unobtrusive installation in visible or concealed installations.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat7 specification supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity compared with older categories, making it suitable for demanding network traffic. S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually foil-wrapped pairs to minimise near-end crosstalk and external noise, improving stability in electrically noisy environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and longer connector life. The 20 m length reduces the need for intermediate patching and provides installation flexibility without additional couplers.

Suitable for

• Permanent wired connections between routers, switches and patch panels
• High-speed LAN setups in home offices and small business networks
• Connections in environments with elevated electromagnetic interference
• Audio/video streaming, online gaming and large file transfers

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 20 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-wrapped pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold plating
• Color: Grey
• Suitable transmission: Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet links

How to use

Route the cable between network devices avoiding sharp bends, kinks and prolonged compression to maintain performance. Insert the RJ-45 plugs into the corresponding Ethernet ports until the latch clicks. For fixed installations, secure the cable along cable trays or using clips designed for network cabling, keeping separation from power cables where possible to reduce interference. If terminating into panels or keystones, ensure proper connector seating and test continuity and performance with a cable tester or network diagnostic tool.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in direct contact with high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius above the manufacturer’s recommended minimum. Use the cable for permanent or semi-permanent Ethernet connections rather than frequent plug/unplug cycles to preserve connector plating. Test the link after installation to verify expected data rates and error-free transmission.
