Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks BS75226 20 m Cat5e SF/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75226 20m Cat5e SF/UTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling in homes and offices. This 20-metre grey cable complies with Cat5e performance parameters for reliable data transmission up to 1000 Mbps under typical conditions and includes RJ-45 connectors on both ends for straightforward connection to switches, routers and network devices. SF/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, making the cable suitable for installations near other electrical equipment or in moderate interference environments.

Advantages

The SF/UTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individual pair unshielded twisted pairs to reduce external interference while maintaining flexibility for routing and installation. The 20 m length covers longer runs without the need for intermediate patch panels, and the standard RJ-45 terminations ensure plug-and-play compatibility with common network hardware. The neutral grey jacket provides a discreet appearance for residential and professional spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs and workstations to network switches or routers
• Wired home networks for streaming, gaming and internet access
• Office patching between wall outlets and network equipment
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where overall shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 20 metres
• Shielding: SF/UTP (overall foil shield)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Jacket colour: Grey
• Typical application: 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps Ethernet links (Cat5e performance)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other connector into the corresponding port on the switch, router or wall outlet. Route the cable along a path that avoids sharp bends and excessive tension to preserve the twisted pairs and shielding. If installing through conduit or behind walls, verify local building codes and use appropriate cable management accessories. Test the connection after installation to confirm link speed and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power lines or large electrical equipment for extended distances. Use cable ties or clips to secure runs, and replace connectors or the cable if physical damage is observed. For applications requiring higher bandwidth or future-proofing beyond Gigabit Ethernet, consider upgrading to Cat6 or higher.
