Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 20m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 20m networking cable provides a 20-metre connection solution designed to meet Cat6 performance requirements for home and office networks. The cable uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and comes fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain stable, low-resistance connections. The white jacket offers a discreet appearance suitable for visible installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding improves signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment nearby, enabling more consistent throughput. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts resist corrosion and provide reliable contact over repeated insertions. The 20 m length covers most room-to-room and equipment-to-switch runs without additional couplers. Compliance with Cat6 performance characteristics supports higher frequency operation and improved headroom for Gigabit Ethernet and other high-speed protocols.

Suitable for

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections in homes and small offices
• Connecting network switches, routers, patch panels and NAS devices
• Structured cabling runs where reduced interference is required
• Temporary or permanent installations that need a 20 m cable length

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 20 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: White
• Typical use: Data networking, Gigabit Ethernet

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the appropriate Ethernet ports on your devices, such as a router, switch, network card, or access point. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to confirm a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and areas with strong electromagnetic sources when possible; use cable clips or ties to secure runs and avoid strain on the connectors. For permanent installations, verify link status on connected devices to confirm negotiation at the desired speed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii larger than the cable diameter. Keep the cable separated from high-voltage lines and heavy machinery to minimise interference. When planning structured cabling, allow slack for re-terminations and avoid sharp staples or excessive compression which can degrade signal quality.
