Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 5 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 5m networking cable is a 5‑metre stranded cable designed for reliable high‑speed Ethernet connections in home and office environments. The cable uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid plus individually foil‑shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity over the full length. Each end is terminated with an RJ‑45 connector plated in gold to improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance while supporting Gigabit and near‑Gigabit data rates.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding minimises crosstalk and external noise, which helps maintain stable throughput in dense cabling or electrically noisy environments. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts provide durable, low‑resistance connections and resist tarnishing over time. At 5 metres, the cable balances flexibility and reach for typical desk, shelf or rack connections without excess slack. The Cat6 specification supports high bandwidth applications and is backward compatible with Cat5e devices and ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops and workstations to routers or switches
• Linking network switches and patch panels within small racks or cabinets
• Home media streaming, online gaming and video conferencing
• Small office networks requiring reduced interference and reliable throughput

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 Ethernet cable
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connectors: RJ‑45 on both ends with gold plating
• Data rates: suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and high‑bandwidth LAN use
• Conductor type: twisted pairs (standard Cat6 construction)

How to use

Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other connector into the Ethernet port of your computer, console or network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it separated from power cables or other sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For fixed installations, use appropriate cable management clips or ties to maintain a neat and strain‑free run.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable and maintain bend radius greater than the cable diameter. When installing near heavy electrical equipment, increase separation to reduce residual interference; for patch panels or switch stacks, label both ends for easier maintenance and troubleshooting.
