Skladací nôž Opinel Nr. 08 s olivovou rukoväťou, čepeľ z nehrdzavejúcej ocele, model 002020

The Opinel No. 08 folding pocket knife with an olive wood handle and stainless steel blade is a compact everyday tool designed for general cutting tasks. The model features a wooden handle finished from olive wood and a high-quality stainless steel blade that folds into the handle for safe storage and transport. The knife’s straightforward locking system and balanced dimensions make it suitable for daily carry and light outdoor work.

Advantages

The olive wood handle provides a firm, ergonomic grip and a distinct natural appearance while remaining lightweight. The stainless steel blade resists corrosion and maintains a sharp edge for routine cutting tasks. The folding design reduces bulk in pockets and prevents accidental contact with the blade when not in use. The simple locking mechanism secures the blade in the open position for safer operation.

Suitable for

• Everyday cutting: opening letters and packages
• Food preparation while camping or picnicking (clean before use)
• Light outdoor tasks: trimming rope, whittling, small repairs
• Craft and hobby tasks: cutting paper, leather or cord

Key specifications

• Handle material: olive wood
• Blade material: stainless steel
• Folding type: slip joint with locking ring
• Blade shape: clip point (standard Opinel profile)
• Overall use: compact, one-handed folding knife

How to use

Open the blade by rotating the locking ring and swinging the blade into the open position until it engages. Ensure the locking ring is set to secure the blade before applying pressure. Use the knife with controlled, steady motions; avoid twisting forces that could damage the blade or handle. After use, clean the blade and handle as needed, rotate the locking ring to the unlocked position and fold the blade back into the handle until it closes fully.

Recommendations

Keep the blade clean and dry to limit corrosion and preserve sharpness. Sharpen the stainless steel edge with suitable stones or sharpening tools when needed. Do not use the knife for prying or heavy-duty tasks beyond its intended light cutting purposes. Store folded and locked when not in use, and follow local regulations regarding pocket knife carry.
