Vreckový nôž Opinel No. 08 — Opinel nerezová čepeľ, zatváracia drevená rukoväť

Opinel No. 08 is a compact pocket knife with a stainless steel blade and a folding wooden handle designed for everyday use. The blade length and overall balance make it suitable for general utility tasks such as opening packages, preparing food, light cutting and trimming. A manual locking ring (Virobloc) secures the blade in the open position for safer use, while the lightweight wooden handle folds around the blade for convenient carry.

Advantages

The stainless steel blade provides corrosion resistance and maintains a sharp edge for routine cutting tasks. The folding wooden handle offers a comfortable grip and natural aesthetics while keeping the knife compact when closed. The manual Virobloc locking ring enhances safety by preventing accidental closure during use. The knife’s simple construction allows easy maintenance, and its lightweight design makes it suitable for daily carry in a pocket or small pouch.

Suitable for

• Everyday cutting tasks such as opening boxes, letters, and packaging
• Food preparation while picnicking or camping (slicing fruit, cheese, bread)
• Light outdoor use: kindling preparation, small cord or rope trimming
• Hobby and craft tasks that require a small, precise blade

Key specifications

• Blade material: stainless steel providing corrosion resistance
• Handle material: wood offering a comfortable grip and compact folding design
• Locking mechanism: manual rotating ring (Virobloc) to secure the blade open
• Intended use: everyday carry and light outdoor tasks
• Design: folding pocket knife with fixed single-blade configuration when opened

How to use

To use the knife, rotate the manual locking ring to the unlocked position, unfold the blade fully until it reaches the open position, then rotate the ring to lock the blade in place. With the blade locked, perform cutting tasks using controlled, steady motions and maintain a firm grip on the wooden handle. After use, rotate the ring to unlock, fold the blade back into the handle, and ensure the ring is returned to the closed position for secure carrying. Regularly clean the blade and handle, and re-sharpen the edge as needed to maintain cutting performance.

Recommendations

Use the knife for appropriate everyday tasks and avoid heavy prying or twisting forces that exceed routine cutting. Keep the locking ring clean and free of debris to ensure reliable locking action. Store the knife dry when not in use to preserve the wooden handle and stainless steel blade. If used for food preparation, clean the blade after contact with food to maintain hygiene.
