Optický kábel OM3 Synergy 21 80m LC - LC

The Synergy 21 80m OM3 LC - LC fibre optic cable is a multimode patch cord with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed data transmission and full duplex communication. Built for link segments up to the OM3 specification, this 80 meter LC to LC cable supports low-loss connectivity between networking equipment, servers and optical transceivers. The cable construction provides consistent signal integrity over its length and is suitable for structured cabling in data centers and enterprise networks.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable delivers predictable multimode performance with reduced modal dispersion compared to lower-grade fibres, enabling higher bandwidth and reliable throughput for short- to medium-range links. The LC to LC connector configuration offers compact duplex connections that simplify port density in patch panels and transceiver interfaces. The 80 meter length allows flexible placement of devices while minimizing the number of intermediate splices and active extenders.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, servers and storage in data centres
• Patch panel to patch panel links in structured cabling
• Inter-rack and intra-rack high-speed multimode links
• Direct connection of optical transceivers with LC interfaces

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Length: 80 m
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical applications: Short- to medium-range high-bandwidth links

How to use

Inspect both LC connector end faces for cleanliness before insertion and remove dust with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align the LC connectors with the matching duplex ports on transceivers, patch panels or network equipment and insert until a secure latch is felt. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation. For long-term installations use strain relief and proper cable management to protect connectors and preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a clean environment, avoid touching connector end-faces, and use dust caps when connectors are not connected. For best results, clean connectors before each connection and verify link performance with optical test equipment after installation. Select OM3 multimode when deploying 10 Gbps or 40/100 Gbps links in multimode-friendly equipment within the specified distance limits.
