Tesnenie na spodok dverí Tesa 05405-101, samolepiaca, hnedá, 40 mm x 1 m

Self-adhesive door bottom seal Tesa 05405-101 in brown is a flexible strip 40 mm wide and 1 m long, designed to be attached to the lower edge of interior or exterior doors. The profile closes the gap between the door and the floor to reduce drafts, dust ingress, airborne noise and heat loss. The product features an adhesive backing that allows for quick installation on clean, dry surfaces without drilling or screws, and is compatible with a variety of door materials and finishes.

Advantages

The self-adhesive backing enables tool-free mounting and simple peel-and-stick application. With a 40 mm width the seal provides effective coverage for standard door clearances while the flexible material adapts to small irregularities along the floor. The brown colour integrates discreetly with dark wood or laminate finishes. By reducing airflow and particulate infiltration the seal contributes to improved thermal efficiency and lower noise transmission through the gap beneath the door.

Suitable for

• Sealing the gap under interior apartment or office doors
• Reducing drafts and heat loss around exterior entrance doors with small thresholds
• Minimising dust and insect entry under doors
• Lowering noise transfer between rooms

Key specifications

• Material type: flexible sealing profile with adhesive backing
• Colour: brown
• Width: 40 mm
• Length: 1 m
• Mounting method: self-adhesive (peel-off liner)
• Suitable surfaces: clean, dry wood, metal, PVC and painted finishes

How to use

Measure the width of the door and if necessary cut the seal to the required length using a sharp pair of scissors or a utility knife. Clean the door bottom thoroughly to remove dust, grease and moisture; allow the surface to dry. Remove the adhesive liner and align the seal with the bottom edge of the door, then press firmly along the entire length to ensure full contact. Apply consistent pressure for several seconds to improve adhesion. Avoid immediate heavy mechanical stress and allow the adhesive to set according to ambient conditions.

Recommendations

For best results, install the seal at room temperature on well-prepared surfaces. If the door has a large gap or uneven floor, combine this product with a threshold strip or consider a mechanical sweep. Periodically inspect the adhesive bond and clean the seal with a damp cloth; replace if the material shows significant wear or loss of adhesion.
