Transparentný parabolický dáždnik Godox UB-008, 101 cm, pre štúdiové blesky a nasadené blesky

Godox UB-008 transparent parabolic umbrella, 101 cm, is a light modifier designed for use with studio strobes and on-location flash units. The transparent parabolic canopy provides an even, softening effect on light output, reducing harsh highlights and deep shadows to produce natural-looking illumination suitable for portrait, product and studio photography. Its 101 cm diameter delivers a balance between broad coverage and directional control while remaining compatible with common flash and strobe heads.

Advantages

The transparent parabolic design offers a consistent diffusion that preserves specular detail while softening contrast, allowing for controlled modeling of facial features and product textures. The umbrella is lightweight and quick to assemble, enabling fast changes on set or in the field. Its compatibility with both studio strobes and on-location flash makes it a versatile tool for different shooting environments, delivering repeatable light quality across sessions.

Suitable for

• Portrait photography where soft, even illumination is required
• Product and still-life photography to reduce reflections and shadows
• Studio shoots and on-location sessions using portable flash or studio strobes
• Situations requiring predictable, repeatable soft light with directional control

Key specifications

• Type: transparent parabolic umbrella
• Diameter: 101 cm
• Compatible light sources: studio strobe heads and on-location flash units
• Effect on light: softens light, evens illumination, reduces harsh highlights and deep shadows
• Construction: collapsible umbrella canopy with central shaft for quick setup

How to use

Mount the Godox UB-008 umbrella on the umbrella shaft adapter of your strobe or attach it to a compatible umbrella bracket for on-location flash. Position the umbrella between the light source and subject with the transparent side facing the light; adjust distance and angle to control softness and coverage. Use umbrella tilt and light-to-subject distance to refine shadow transitions and specular highlights. For multi-light setups, combine with reflectors or grids on other lights to shape contrast and background separation.

Recommendations

For portraits, place the umbrella slightly above eye level at a moderate distance to achieve flattering, soft modeling. For small product work, move the light closer to increase softness and reduce contrast. Check flash power and test exposures to balance ambient light and avoid clipping highlights.
