It carries digital video and audio signals to enable full HD or compatible resolutions depending on the connected devices.

Advantages

This DisplayPort to HDMI adapter offers a straightforward, passive conversion in a single, durable assembly. The five-metre length reduces the need for extension solutions and allows comfortable distance between source and display. Its black jacket conceals wear and blends with common AV equipment. The cable supports transmission of both video and audio over one connection, simplifying setup and reducing cable clutter.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops or desktops with DisplayPort output to HDMI TVs or monitors
• Projector connections in meeting rooms and classrooms
• Home theatre setups where source and display are separated by a few metres
• Temporary AV installations and presentations

Key specifications

• Connector 1: DisplayPort (male)
• Connector 2: HDMI (male)
• Colour: Black
• Transmits digital video and audio signals

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end to the source device's DisplayPort output and plug the HDMI end into the display or projector. Ensure both devices are powered on and select the appropriate input on the display. In most systems the display will be detected automatically; adjust resolution and audio output in the source device's display settings if required for optimal picture and sound quality.

Recommendations

For best results, avoid tight bending near the connectors and route the cable to prevent pinching. If a specific resolution or audio format is required, verify that both source and display support the desired modes. For long-term fixed installations, confirm connector seating and periodic inspection to maintain reliable signal transmission.
