HDD Western Digital 16 TB 3.5 palcov SAS3 Ultrastar DC HC555

Ultrastar Data Center HC555 hard drives are engineered to provide large capacity, reliable performance and compatibility for 24×7 multi-user data center workloads. These helium-filled drives use proven hardware platforms combined with energy-assisted perpendicular magnetic recording (ePMR) and a Triple-Stage Actuator to increase storage density while keeping power consumption low. Designed for rapid qualification and seamless integration, the HC555 family targets high-intensity workloads with field-proven reliability and a projected 2.5 million-hour MTBF.

Advantages

The HC555 line delivers high capacity per drive with lower total cost of ownership through ePMR technology, improved tracks-per-inch via the Triple-Stage Actuator and a low power profile enabled by HelioSeal® helium sealing. Built on established hardware designs, these drives simplify qualification and deployment for existing data center environments. Integrated Rotation Vibration sensors and multi-axis shock sensors maintain performance and protect data under vibration and shock conditions.

Key specifications

• Drive family: Ultrastar Data Center HC555
• Recording technology: energy-assisted perpendicular magnetic recording (ePMR)
• Helium-sealed design: HelioSeal®
• Actuator: Triple-Stage Actuator (TSA)
• Reliability: projected 2.5 million-hour MTBF
