Zebra SP7201 Single Plane Horizontal USB Only No AUX Port Standard Range Midnight

Where most fixed scanners force a choice between compact design and aggressive scanning, the Zebra SP7201 in Midnight Black delivers a single-plane imager that reads 1D and 2D barcodes with minimal footprint and zero moving parts. Built for in-counter integration, it offers a USB-only interface without an auxiliary port, keeping deployment simple and cost-effective for retail point-of-sale and kiosk environments.

Highlights

• Single-plane area imager captures 1D, 2D, and Digimarc barcodes
• USB connectivity: HID Keyboard, IBM SurePOS, USB CDC Host, USB OPOS/JPOS
• Red LED illumination with green single-dot aiming for precise targeting
• IP52 sealing and 1.2 m drop resistance for reliable daily use
• Compact in-counter mounting with Midnight Black finish

In daily use

The SP7201 sits flush in the counter, scanning items as they pass over the window. Its 48° horizontal and 30° vertical field of view covers typical retail barcodes from contact to 25.4 cm on a 100% UPC. Motion tolerance up to 3.8 m/s means even quickly presented items are captured without hesitation. The green aiming dot helps cashiers align the barcode, while the 25% minimum print contrast handles faded or low-quality labels. With no auxiliary port, the scanner relies solely on USB, reducing cabling and simplifying integration with existing POS systems.
