ACT 5m Singlemode 9/125 OS2 predkonfekcionovaný optický kábel 24F LC Polarity Twist

The ACT 5m Singlemode Fiber Cable 24F LC Polarity Twist is a preterminated 9/125 OS2 backbone cable designed for fast and simple installation in data centers and network closets. With 24 fibers and LC connectors arranged in a polarity twist configuration, this 5‑meter cable provides reliable long‑distance singlemode transmission with low attenuation and ready‑to‑install terminations.

Advantages

Preterminated and stocked by ACT for rapid deployment when performing moves, adds and changes (MAC). The 9 µm singlemode fibers (OS2) offer low signal loss for backbone runs, while LC connectors with polarity twist simplify correct mating and reduce on‑site termination time. The cable’s prefab construction improves installation speed and reduces the need for specialized field splicing.

Suitable for

• Data center backbone cabling
• Interrack and interbay fiber connections
• Moves, adds and changes (MAC) where quick replacement or expansion is required
• Long‑distance singlemode links within campus or carrier networks

How to use

Verify the required length and polarity before installation. Route the preterminated cable between patch panels or equipment ports, secure with appropriate cable management accessories, and plug LC connectors into matching LC ports. Avoid excessive bending and maintain minimum bend radius during routing to preserve optical performance. Check light levels or use an OTDR if verification of insertion loss is required after installation.

Recommendations

Store preterminated cables on flat, clean surfaces and protect LC end‑faces with dust caps until final connection. For MAC operations keep spare preterm cables in stock to minimize downtime and ensure compatibility with existing patch panel port types and polarity schemes.
