Aktívny optický kábel CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q20M 20 m

Active Optical Cable CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q20M 20 m is a factory-integrated SFP28-compatible direct-attach optical solution designed for 25GbE links. The cable combines active transceivers and multimode fiber in a single assembly to provide extended reach up to 20 meters with lower power consumption and reduced latency compared with equivalent copper direct-attach cables. It is intended for rack-to-rack and server-to-switch connections in data centers and high-density networking environments.

Advantages

This AOC provides consistent 25GbE performance over a 20 m distance while eliminating the need for separate transceiver modules and fiber patching. The integrated design reduces cable bulk in server racks and simplifies installation and inventory management. Because the cable uses optical transmission, it offers improved electromagnetic immunity and lower heat dissipation compared with copper alternatives.

Suitable for

• High-speed switch-to-switch links within racks and across adjacent racks
• Server-to-top-of-rack and server-to-leaf connections
• Storage network interconnects requiring 25GbE throughput
• Data center deployments where longer reach than passive copper DACs is required

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP28-compatible active optical cable
• Rated data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 20 meters
• Connector format: SFP28 on both ends
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber with integrated active transceivers
• Latency: low-latency design suitable for high-performance networking
• Power: lower power consumption than equivalent active copper solutions

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the latch engages securely. After connection, verify link status and speed on both devices according to the switch or server management interface. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain bend radii recommended for multimode fiber.

Recommendations

Install the AOC in a powered-down or maintenance window if your network equipment requires hot-swap precautions; otherwise, follow vendor guidelines for hot-plugging SFP28 modules. Avoid tight cable bends, excessive tensile stress, and exposure to fluids or contaminants. Use in typical data center ambient conditions and verify firmware or compatibility notes from the network equipment vendor when deploying across different manufacturers.
