Aktívny optický kábel CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q20M 20 m

Active Optical Cable CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q20M 20 m is a pre-terminated SFP28-compatible optical direct-attach cable designed to provide 25 Gbps-class connectivity over optical fiber. The 20-metre cable connects SFP28 ports on switches, servers and storage devices with low latency and reduced power consumption compared with active copper solutions. It is intended for short-reach interconnects such as rack-to-rack and within-row links in data centres and high-performance network environments.

Advantages

The BlueOptics AOC delivers consistent 25 Gbit/s performance with the convenience of a pre-terminated SFP28 connector, simplifying installation and reducing connector loss. As an active optical design, it offers lower power dissipation and lower electromagnetic interference than equivalent copper assemblies. The 20 m length supports flexible rack layout and longer short-reach links without additional transceivers or patch panels. The cable construction ensures stable signal integrity and reduced latency for latency-sensitive applications.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• Server-to-switch and storage-to-switch links
• High-performance computing clusters and low-latency networks
• Short-reach 25 Gbps optical interconnects where 20 m distance is required

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP28-compatible pre-terminated active optical cable
• Data rate: designed for 25 Gbit/s class operation
• Cable length: 20 metres
• Cable type: active optical (fiber) direct-attach
• Application environment: data centre rack-to-rack and short-reach interconnects
• Performance characteristics: low latency, reduced power consumption, immunity to EMI

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are securely seated and that the cable is routed without sharp bends—maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius for optical fiber. Verify link status on connected devices and configure network interfaces according to your switch or server operating system. No additional transceivers or fibre termination are required since the cable is factory-terminated.

Recommendations

Avoid excessive bending and compression along the cable run, keep the cable away from strong mechanical stress and high-temperature sources, and verify compatibility with device SFP28 ports and firmware for proper link negotiation and performance.
